Just three hours from Brisbane, and one hour from Goondiwindi, Coolmunda Olives is a must-visit on any trip west. Established in 1989 and 100% family owned and operated, they are Queensland's premium olive grove.
We teamed up with Grace Cheatley from the Stockmam Hotel in Texas to put the perfect outfits together for a day full of sunshine, flavor and exploring at the grove.
We were excited to learn about the grove's storys and farming practices to produce such a quality product.
Heading off on our Tour in the "Coolie Coaster" along the 1.2km track, we first took a look at the century old Dairy Cottage, built in 1932 this cottage is now a quaint farm stay being dubbed "a century-old stay with soul". Fresh paint, new plumbing and all of the finishing details have made this the Dairy Cottage Escape ready to open its doors again, to guests looking for something real.
Next on our trip a little wander through the bird spotting cottage.
After that, a walk through the olive grove was as beautiful and tranquil as promised. Taking in the rows of olive trees, sunshine and breathing in nature gives a simple pleasure, making a perfect way to spend the day.
Finishing the day sharing storys over a delicious share platter for two featuring delectable table olives, handmade relish and olive trepenade, plus a selection of local meats and cheeses.
A visit to Coolmunda Olives is the kind of experience we hope everyone gets to enjoy at least once, whether you're exploring on your own or lingering over a platter with friends, the grove offers a pace that feels refreshingly simple.
Thank you so much for having us, Coolmunda Olives!
