Glad I didn’t pay full price
First time buying with Goondiwindi Cotton so I was excited to purchase the Hayman dress. I brought the dress on sale for $179.40 but if I would have paid $299 for this dress I would have been extremely disappointed. Upon taking the dress out of the bag I first noticed the pattern on the back of the dress doesn’t line up from the bodice to the skirt, it is slightly out something I would have expected to be perfect in a dress of this price range. The dress had a structure feel like I would expect from poplin cotton and the material belt didn’t feel floppy and sat nice and wide. I washed the garment according to instructions. I retried the dress on and straight away noticed the bodice had lost it structure like other cotton poplin items I own and had shrunk slightly. Lucky for me I had gone up a size so it still fitted. The self belting belt had also lost its structure and just folded over on itself. For me to regain the desired fit I am going to need to really iron and starch the belt and dress. I am disappointed with the purchase.
